“I’ve dreamt about this,” Dagon admitted, hands sliding up her ribs as he watched, entranced. “I didn’t think we’d ever get here.”

“Really?” Mika reached back to undo her bra but he was too quick, stopping her before she could. The way his large hands wrapped around her wrists, pinning them to her back made her breath catch. “Why is that Dagon?”

“You saw my eyes once, not long after I’d first arrived,” he murmured, moving her wrists until they were both held by only one of his hands. The other flicked her bra open expertly. “I knew we had a connection then by the way you walked toward me. I’ve never seen that level of trust on someone before, and you didn’t even know me or what I was.”

She let him gently slide her bra off and Dagon tossed that on top of her shirt.

“But there’s always been so much going on,” he told her, resting his hands on top of her shoulders, sliding them down her arms. “I wasn’t sure we’d ever have time together when something horrible wasn’t happening or you were dying in my arms.”

The way his voice cracked made her heart break. Dagon watched the path his hands took as he brushed them back up and over her hips, her waist, to rub his thumbs across her nipples.

“I wasn’t dying,” she reminded him. Mika unbuckled his belt and unbuttoned his pants, resisting the urge to magic them off or rip them to shreds. She didn’t want that for their first time together.

Dagon was so tender and careful with her. He didn’t seem like the type to enjoy losing control.

“It didn’t make it feel any less real,” he murmured as he watched her.

He kicked his boots off and let her push his pants all the way down until he could step out of them.

“Will you take a bath with me?” she asked, fingertips trailing up his legs, avoiding the already hard dick just to tease him. Mika yanked his shirt up and off and added it to their growing pile.

“I’d be happy to do whatever you wanted,” Dagon told her, taking her face in both hands once again. His eyes studied hers like he wasn’t sure this was really happening. “Are you sure you want this?”

She quirked an eyebrow up at him. “Do you think I would if I didn’t?”

He was quiet for a moment as he absorbed that. “A bath sounds nice.”

Mika went to take off her pants, but his hands rested on top of hers, silently asking her to let him do this. She let her arms fall to her sides and stared up at him, watching as he held her gaze the entire time he finished undressing her until the hellfire in his eyes lit up the dark bathroom.

Neither of them needed a light to see in the dark, but the warm glow made her shiver and for some reason it made her feel safer.

“You’re sure?” he asked again, hands on her waist. There was still a flicker of doubt in his eyes and Mika hated it.
